SCMAT
The Slide Gate Valve is a system designed to regulate molten steel flow rates during casting by attaching to the lower sections of ladles or tundishes.
Slide Gates are primarily divided into Ladle Slide Gates (LSG) and Tundish Slide Gates (TSG). The Ladle Slide Gate, mounted on the bottom of a ladle, is a refractory component used to control the flow of molten steel into the tundish or ingot mold. Similarly, the Tundish Slide Gate, installed on the tundish bottom, manages the flow of molten steel into the mold.
Our SC MAT (Steel Ceramic Mat) serves as a refractory ceramic gasket placed opposite the sliding surface of the brick plate within the molten steel flow control system (Sliding Gate). It acts as a buffer during surface pressure formation and prevents air intrusion, effectively reducing crack propagation and oxidation during brick plate operation.
Currently, we provide over 30 specifications of SC MAT to domestic and international steel manufacturers through Chosun Refractories' Slide Gate System. We are the only domestic company with a fully integrated process encompassing ceramic material production and gasket manufacturing.
