Woo Jinwook, Manager

Sales Group, P Region Pohang
Q. Please introduce your responsibilities or the projects you are working on.

As a member of Sales Team 1 for the P Region, I am responsible for the sales of Roll products handled by the company. I oversee the smooth flow of shipments and deliveries with each supplier, and I am also involved in identifying new processes and companies beyond our existing customers. Additionally, I address customer needs and develop solutions to ensure the successful execution of sales activities related to Roll products.

Q. What knowledge or skills are required to effectively perform your duties?

As a sales professional, possessing strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude is essential. A solid understanding of basic office automation (OA) tools and fundamental knowledge of mechanical maintenance would also be advantageous.

Q. What are the advantages or appealing aspects of working for our company?

Unlike many small and medium-sized enterprises, our company has a well-structured work system. The smooth communication within the team and with colleagues significantly contributes to the efficient completion of tasks, which I find particularly valuable in my role.

Q. Could you describe your typical daily routine from start to finish?

Upon arriving at work, I begin by coordinating with the logistics team to establish the delivery items and dispatch plans for the current and upcoming days. In the afternoon, I visit our clients to ensure that there are no issues with our products, and engage in sales activities through meetings and discussions aimed at resolving any concerns or business needs.

Q. Having built your career over time, you must have gained various experiences. How have these experiences helped in your current role? Are there any particularly memorable episodes?

One of the most memorable experiences was participating in the recovery efforts following Typhoon Hinnamnor and the flooding of the Naechon River in 2022, which affected POSCO. Our company joined forces to support the recovery, and the swift restoration, which felt almost like a miracle, made me genuinely proud. This experience also allowed me to learn and internalize disaster response protocols, which has been invaluable. Additionally, it opened opportunities to be involved in multiple construction projects, leaving a lasting impact on my career.
